About the movie Titanic

Modpodged Wood Plaque

On Saturday, Joel and I went through about half our apartment's closets, drawers and crevices, trashing and donating a ton more things than I thought we would. It's unreal how fast our possessions accumulate. We have a one bedroom apartment, we shouldn't have this much stuff! Over the next week, we'll be going through the remaining dressers and drawers. I guess you can say we have the crazy spring cleaning bug.

Sometimes I need to end a weekend like ours with a quick DIY to feel relaxed. Yesterday, I grabbed this print from Naptime Diaries and this wood plaque from a thrifting weekend. When I thrift for home decor, I look for two things... 1) something really awesome with a ton of color/character or 2) something with a great base that can be used for projects. This wood plaque was the second. I mean, I love cats as much as the next girl, but this...hung on a wall? That's just a lil too much.

Ten minutes after this picture was snapped, my project was done and is now safely nestled in our living room!
