Pinterest Fashion Challenge + Fall Layers
Here is an outfit I pinned on my "Fall Fashion" Pinterest board. But that's where it ends...the picture sits, unattended, ignored. So, until recently, I stopped pinning outfits. What's the point in pinning {and drooling over fashion} if you never replicate the style, outfit, or buy the article of clothing?
Cue the Pinterest Fashion Challenge!
My goal in this challenge is to replicate outfits from my Pinterest boards with items I already own or have purchased for under $20. No more pinning just to pin! In the next seasons, I'll be creating a seasonal board, pin items or outfits, and then post about how I recreated the look...for an amount that WON'T BREAK your wallet.
Yay for deals, discounts and thrifting!
This week, my goal was to recreate the layered sweater/denim trend that I've absolutely fallen in love with! Did you see what this jean vest looked like before I cut off the skirt??? Check out my post here.
Yellow sweater: Gap - Jean vest: Thrifted - Green, striped shirt: Old Navy - Jeggings: American Eagle - Shoes: Thrifted and spray painted here - Necklace: Premier Jewelry
I already owned the jeggings and yellow sweater. The shoes were a DIY project, read about how I spray painted them here. The green, striped shirt and jean vest were thrifted pieces...for under $10! Soooo, how do you think I did on my first Pinterest Fashion Challenge??
